The SRC aims to meet up every week to discuss fundraisers, events and projects for the school.
Representatives are elected from primary and secondary classes.
We talk about school activities and we come up with ideas such as dress-up days and raffles.
We have these meeting to discuss progress on the school’s future. Our current projects are the Year 10-12 Formal and we helped to develop the new Student Engagement Framework.
The SRC works well together and occasionally we have snacks (we wish).
Master Chef
The Pasta workshop will be conducted this coming Thursday, 6th November. Teams are enthusiastic and an exciting event is expected for the students involved.
A second workshop is planned for Thursday 20th November investigating the delights of dessert. There will be volunteer adult tutors to assist teams through the workshops, including Jill Lawrie and Annabel Tallis.
The competition concludes in the evening of Thursday 4th December with a ‘no-holds-barred’ feisty feast from all the teams vying for the glory!
Master Chef is an initiative of Lavers Hill & District Community House, which seeks to engage the community with the school. The Master Chef competition should be fun for students, their family and friends in the community.
Tom and Ella - well dressed for the Melbourne CupAnd they're off ...!
Melbourne Cup
The Melbourne Cup is an iconic sporting fixture so students and teachers were invited to dress up for the occasion.
We had own version with a lunchtime sprint across the oval, involving jockeys and horses across both Primary and Secondary students. The eventual winners, Zoe and Te Amo narrowly pipped out Edward and Tai to bring home the chocolates!
