Community Health Nurse
My name is Ingrid Rial and I am the new Community Health Nurse at Otway Health. I’m looking forward to being a part of the Lavers Hill community and lending a hand where it is needed.
I live at Kennedys Creek so have an understanding of how unique our area is. I’ve been a nurse at the Timboon Hospital for over 10 years and have also worked in diabetes and chronic health programs. I am a diabetes educator and have my Rural & Isolated Practice Registered Nursing (RIPRN) certificate.
I offer the following services:
- FREE HEALTH CHECKS – this takes around 15 minutes, and is totally confidential. I will check your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, weight, waist circumference, blood glucose levels and more. This is a great opportunity to look after yourself without having to travel too far. Please come between 2pm & 3pm, no appointments necessary.
- Well-being program – this is an individual four-week program to help people get their health and well-being back on track.
- Diabetes education
- Asthma education
- Smoking cessation advice
- General health advice
- Advance Care Planning
